"Tabbed Up" what does that mean?

I hear this phrase a lot in tamagotchi logs and i don't know what it means!

'tabbing it up?' what does it mean!?!?

It means putting the tab that oridgionally came with it back in while not playing with it.

When you put the tab in (the one the Tamagotchi originally comes with), it slides right between the battery and the circuit, so you effectively turn it off in a sense.
