Tama-Go figure question

I'm a little confused about the shop that comes with the Mametchi figure. I assumed that I would be able to buy items at the shop but I can't seem to figure out how When I select "shop" I go to a mame shaped building, once inside if I press any button it says "Close Shop? Yes or No" If i wait 3 to 5 minutes another tam will enter the shop, but it appears that they are buying something from me. What's going on here?

Also, if I select "Item" I get the prompt "Sorry, Nothing!" How do I get something?

If you have the character that is also the figure host... and it has a shop... It will become the shop owner and sell the items.
