Hey all.

Do any phones that have NFC work with the Tamagotchi 4u app?

I have a Galaxy s4 and I'm hoping the app would work for it.

Yeah, the S5 and note 3 work... People have provided APK's, but it is unknown if the app will work on other phones with the APK

Currently the app works on pretty much all androids and the 4u will respond to any NFC however currently the few who received a 4U can't use the app to get downloads specifically as it doesn't respond to the app.

I have a galaxy s4 and I was able to download/install the app to my phone. But like furbitchi said, I am unable to send the downloads to my 4U. I've tried a few times to no avail. I hope we can get it to work with the 4U. I'd like to get the free downloads. :(

I just got my Tamagotchi 4U today, I tried using the NFC but it doesn't work? Is there anyway to show me how it is done? Or does the problem lies with my phone?

I got stuck at the Step 1 of the connection at my phone, It doesn't even shrink :(

My phone doesn't shrink either... but i've had this crazy idea just now after tapping my Rola card to an NFC reader on my phone and seeing some data pop up...

If I can get some blank cards with the japaneae read/write standard and an NFC tag reader/writer the same, there /might/ be a possibility of creating cards that work the same as the touch cards but with characters and items from the app (which I think mister blinky managed to capture). This is just a wild idea for now, but if it is indeed possible.. then it may be a better option for us people who can't get the app to work, and alot cheaper than buying an NFC enabled phone/tablet that is compatible.

It's just a wild idea for now, I have no idea if it would actually work, but if it does.. there's a back door into custom downloads/characters/unlimited touch cards. I will have to do my research on this.

Here's more for people that know about nfc... binary.. mr blinky... nudge nudge
