Tamagotchi clones

I was browsing the forums and i found the code to "clone" your tamagotchi adult and have a temporary twin, they dance with eachother which is really cute ; 3

anyway, i entered the code i found onto my japanese keitai tamagotchi and it didn't accept it : ( i wanted to know if there is a different code you need to use for the japanese version and what versions will the code i found work on? also, how do you enter codes on the tamagotchi connection??

The codes for different for each Connection version. (Meaning that the V2 codes work only on the V2, the V3 codes work only on the V3, the V4 codes work only on the V4, etc.) Instructions for how to enter codes on the Connection version Tamagotchis are in the Codes topics for each version, which are in this forum: https://www.tamatalk.com/IB/index.php?showforum=44

Im not gonna be a big help BUT All im gonna say is

for every version there is a different code even for the same item

im not sure about the japanese version but on mine you press 'a' at the shop until the shopkeeper gets distressed.
