Tamagotchi + Colour

So I am looking to save for a Tamgotchi + Colour or maybe an iD I've not decided as of yet but I am looking for some help.

I have been looking around on a certain auction site and have come across two different Tamagotchi colours. There is the normal one and then there is the Tamagotchi + colour Hexagontchi.

Can any one tell me what the differences are? Other then that the Hexagontchi is much cheaper? Does it have less functions or something like that.

And also what would be better to buy a Tama + Colour or a Tama iD? I can read bits and pieces of Japanese so not being able to understand what I am doing is not a problem.

The Hexagontchi is very similar to the TMGC+C. The Hexagontchi is themed on the Japanese television show "Quiz! Hexagon" On this Tamagotchi, each happy sign item is rewarded by correctly answering a multiple-choice quiz. The question and answers are written in Japanese, so if you can't read Japanese you can only guess at the answer.

Thank you very much binary. I made sure to have a good look over the links you gave me and I think I will got for the TMGC+C first then save up again for an iD.
