I;ve tried it over and over again but it doesn't work. For some reason I can't feed him over 2 pizzas.....

Each pizza fills two rice bowls in his stats screen. You would have to let all the rice bowls empty first, if you wanted to feed him three pizzas at the same time.

You don't have to feed him three pizzas at the same time. Feed one, wait an hour for him to get a bit hungry again, feed another, wait an hour for him to get hungry again, feed another. The key point is that you must not feed any other food between the pizzas.
