I personally really don't care for the lanyard, I want that little tama figurine with the keychain attachment right next to it!

I wish there was a way to just buy those.

I think you'll find that the tamas with lanyards on ebay are fake.. but i think it would be cool to have them come with tamas too

Yes, the ones with the lanyards ARE fake. But don't confuse this with the Autralian versions. The fake ones are products of JD or TC or whatever else. Fake company names! Look for the BANDAI logo! Australian one comes with a cute little tiny lanyard sort of thing instead of the keychain attachment. I wish the American versions were like the Australian ones too. Darn lol!
