Tamagotchi Music Star won't turn on?

I finally managed to get on to Music City (After 8-9 months) and I wanted to log in with my TMGC MS, so I put in a battery that still had a lot of life in, but the MS will not switch on.

Yes the battery has got enough life to last for today, yes the battery is a 3V CR2032, and the battery has worked in my other tamas'. Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or is it not working at all? It did seem to work a few months ago.

Make sure the battery contacts are clean and free of lint etc. After you install the battery, press the reset button. If that doesn't work, try a fresh battery, or double-check that battery in another Tamagotchi to make sure it has enough power.

I had this. Reset it or put the battery in again. Or try as Binary said, Checking that the 'Battery hole' is clean.

i had the same problem on my v3. just make sure the is battery ok, the battery hole is clean an not scratched ,and that the battery has life.

Pull the little metal contacts up until they bend down with the battery, but don't pull them right out!
