Tamagotchi P's MultiConnect Question

Okay so I have one Tamagotchi P's and plan on getting another...but I have an ID L laying around and I was wondering if I could use the ID L to aid in getting the secret connection characters that way instead of getting yet another 3rd P's? Thanks for the help!

There are four special connection characters.

Shirimotchi and Harptchi require a 3- or 4-way connection - which will only work with P's.

However, Charactchi and Stargirltchi only require that you connect with four or more friends with the opposite gender, you can use an iD L.

Dang it! I wanted Harptchi! Guess I'll be getting a 3rd P's so I won't be seeing her for a while. Lol. Oh well. Thanks for your help! It's greatly appreciated.
