Tamagotchis and infrared technology

I looked at my Uratama the other day and my PDA. Now my PDA has an IR port for communication and sending files to other PDAs.I was thinking mabye it`d be nifty to find a way for them to communicate.But sadly I don`t have the knowledge of how to do it precisely OR the technoloy on my hands or the monies for it for that matter....

But this page has SOME information for it but not too deatailed.and I dont have an IR thingy to plug into my headphone jack to communicate with my tama.Only the built in one,wich i don`t know how to modify to make it work.perhpas it could be done in memopad?*like an encoding file and beaming it out?*

who else thinks this would be fun to try to do?!
