Has anyone else read these yet? Do you know of a good source where I could do a little side research? I find it difficult to understand. I have the cliff-notes on them and I'm sure that will be helpful. Anyone else sharing my pain? (This is for my 12th grade English class, which is a college course.)

Our English teacher had each student read one tale aloud in class. Once she saw where "The Miller's Tale" was going, the teacher thought that perhaps we should skip that one, but we hadn't heard it before, so convinced her to let the reader continue. I think that was the only day I actually enjoyed English class.

Try this site for line-by-line interpretation: https://www.courses.fas.harvard.edu/~chauce...lf/tr-index.htm

Wikipedia also has a synopsys of each tale. Go here, then scroll to the bottom for links to each tale: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Canterbury_Tales

Thank you! I appreciate it. It's actually quite funny because everyone in my class has to read all of the tales but we (as in different groups) have to give a presentation over one of the stories. My group has (you guessed it) "The Miller's Tale". ^o^'
