It was an ordinary day for Saphira Ashwood, a normal 12 year old girl. She got good grades in school, hung out with her boyfriend Troy Borton, and shared secrets with her four best friends,
Julian, Ashton, Lizzie and Angela. But at the end of the day, when Troy was walking her home, as she walked into the door something wasn't right. Something was missing. As she and Troy slowly walked into the living room her dad was sitting there with a sad look on his face. " Saphira, I have something to say. Today on Mom's lunchbreak at work, she got hit by a speeding car."
Saphira's face dropped and she started to cry.
