THE THING  PART 1

It was a cold, October night. The air was crisp and the neighborhood looked eerie. Sandy looked away from her bedroom window and wiped her sweaty forehead with the front of her shirt. She glanced at the slowly ticking clock which read 12:06 AM. Sandy took a deep, shaky breath. She knew the thing would be coming for her soon.

Sandy woke up bright and early the next morning at 7:54 AM. She had slept through the night peacefully except for that one interruption. She thought of her mother who had been a Mametchi. Sandy was a young Tamatchi, due to evolve that night. She slammed the front door of her cheery house shut and shoved the key into her item box. "Hey, MiMi! Wanna go grab a bite?" called Sandy. "Sure! Come on into my place. I have some extra toast left!" replied MiMi. Sandy skipped over across the street and ran into MiMi's front door. Sandy murmured something quickly and shut the door tight. "What's that you said?" asked MiMi with a slight frown. "Oh, nothing. Just a little something." answered Sandy. MiMi walked swiftly into the whitest kitchen in town. "So, didja wanna discuss anything or were you just hungry?" asked MiMi. Sandy just looked down at the table quietly....almost seeming frozen. MiMi reached out to touch her shoulder but suddenly, Sandy looked up and grabbed MiMi's wrist.

"Tre polki strava marskun huj navi!" spat Sandy looking fiercely into MiMi's eyes. "Toh miku spparga shnackvuu!" whispered Sandy. MiMi shrieked and fell out of her chair. As MiMi began to sit back down, Sandy said, "Whoa, what happened there? You okay?" MiMi sared strangely at Sandy but slowly nodded. She decided not to discuss what had just happened. Sandy quietly nibbled her toast and looked up at MiMi. "Hey, Sofi's coming over for lunch. Wanna come over and stay the night?" asked Sandy. "Sure," was the reply Sandy recieved. Sandy finished her toast and finally left the house. Sandy went over to the library and sat reading for the rest of the day.
