Trouble Uploading Video on Youtube!

Every Time I try to upload a video after it says failed to upload video wrong file type I get so confused and I look in the help files and it says to wait 8 Hours depending on site traffic or even 24 hours! I wait 2 days and it still says failed to upload video wrong file type! I try to upload it again and it keeps saying the same error its so confusing!! I upload it again and I refresh the page and it still says it! PLEASE HELP I WANT TO UPLOAD MY VIDEO!!! It's a Windows a media player file. Please help me!

it has to be a WMV file you HAVE to save your video when your done

Um yah after your done go to finish movie and save to ''my computer''€ it'll take awhile though
