Why does your tama need to be paused during your visit to tamatown, and why is it bad for you to press any buttons other than the 'c' button while viewing the password to get into V4 tamatown. Like really why does your tama have to be paused, V3's don't whats the differance???

They don't want your tamagotchi to die during the stay.
That could really mess up your tamagotchi and maybe your computer.
It never happened with my v3...
But, when you're logged on with your v3 you can play with it.
With the v4 you have opportunities to play games to earn points and items on the web.
(It's just so thta you don't die...)

The logout password you'll get from TamaTown works only for the login password you have that one time on your Tamagotchi. If you exit from the login password screen on your Tamagotchi, the only way to get to the logout screen again is to get another login password, but then the logout password from TamaTown won't work because you didn't use that second login password to enter TamaTown.
They pause your Tamagotchi because you would have to exit the login password screen in order to take care of it if it suddenly need care - such as if it became ill.
