V5 and celebrity Tamagotchi

I was wondering if they could connect together because

I tryed it with them and it didn't work. Is this normal?

It should work. My 5.5 and 5 work OK

If you see "Download / Reset" that means means it's battery is low. Replace it with a fresh battery and everything should work properly.

If you get connect errors, and you're not in a bright place, and the tops are pointed towards each other, then try: press the reset button on the back of each. Then when you see the "Download / Reset" menu on screen, select Download. Try to connect now. It should work.
