A poem by Zet206.... (a true story of my life)

I thought it was true love

On that first day of school,

I though we were close,

I thought you were cool.

But now I see differently,

Through a teenager's eyes,

You took a piece of my heart,

But I'm not chasing guys.

Since you've got your girl,

You've left me in the dust,

But you need someone you really know,

Someone you can trust.

I wish I could go back time,

Back two grades ago,

I'd tell you, "I need a word with you",

Then say, "There's something you should know."

I'd come out straight and say it,

Hoping you feel the same way,

And if you really did like me,

We might still be going out today.

And if you ever read this poem,

I just want you to know a few things,

Every time I see your face,

My heart takes flight and sings.

But when you started going out with her,

Right from the start,

My life became a sad love story,

All because you broke my heart...
