Ok guys this might sound weird but I was just thinking if I could build Tamatalk's vocabulary. Ok guys lets see if you can tell me the definition of these words. These words are from the book, " The Mixed up Files of Mrs.Basil E. Frankweiler"

These are what I think they are..

Charity - to give money to a fund

Abrupt - to interfer

Antique - very old specail belonging that is worth something

Trance - not paying attention, day dreaming

Categories - different kinds of, to pick from

Auction - trying to sell something by bids of money

Poll - a type of question asked to people to find majority of's opinions and likes

I know some more but it's really hard to explain things...

I probably know 40%-60% just by the words alone.

But I could get alot more if I had the context it came from.

Receptions - place where you receive someone

Casserole - type of big and wide saucepan where you cook things

fluorescent - something that is bright under the Ultraviolet light

Charity - Act of doing something for more needed people (e.g. Give money to the poor so they can buy food)

Abrupt - Brusque

Antique - Old

Trance - When staring into space, a type of daydreaming lapse

Barroque - An era and a style

Theatrics - to do with theatre

Saunter - to walk in a type of way (bouncing up and down, proud for yourself)

Coincidence - casualty

kaleidoscope - Toy/game consisting of a tube. There are many mirrors inside, placed in 60º shapes, and as you move it, the shapes move about and are reflected by the mirror creating a pretty picture

Urgency - something emergent, urgent, trascendent, important

Peer - to look over something or to peep

Sonnet - a type of poetry which is 4 "cuartetos" and 3 "tercetos". 14 lines.

Chandelier - a type of fancy lamp which goes in the ceiling. Has candles.

Ascend - to go up. Contrary of descend

Poll - In TamaTalk, a type of survey XD

Frantic - Impatient. "Frantic searching for something", looking for something desperately

Analyse - To research and investigate something to find out more about it

Stammer - to talk stuttering

Oriental - from Asia

Circumstance - condition
