Well, the lowest it can be as a baby is 5-7LB.It's better to have it in that range, you'll get a better character.

your tama should be about (i think it is) 10 to 15 pounds when a child.

I could be wrong but I think that is what I remember hearing.

a baby should be around 7-15kg a child around 15-40 teenager around 30-60 and a adult around 60-90 kg

If you think your Tamagotchi weighs too much, try cutting down on the snacks you give them and if you play games regualry with your Tama, they should begin to loose weight. But the odd snack now and then shouldn't hurt
