I believe 72 hours after your tamagotchi is an adult, so that is 3 days

ok so i was adult at year 2 so i will get job year 5?

It's not really about what age they are - it about how long they have been an adult.
You get a job offer in the mail [!] 24hrs after your tam evolved into it's adult character.
So if it became an adult at around 5pm in the afternoon on Tuesday, it will get a job offer at around 5pm in the afternoon on Wednesay.
