YES!!! You should ONLY buy tamagotchi's if it has Bandai's logo on it. If you see a tama with a fake name, tamagotchi characters but not a tamagotchi, or anything els like that don't buy it. Also if you buy online, don't buy it if the Bandai logo is cut off...it might not have even been there. I...

V9 We can't can't say if it's good or bad or if it will even come out! The "V8" you have is a FAKE. You can't get V8's, we are only on V4...therfore if you EVER see a tamagotchi that is higher than V4, has a pair, fake name or looks fake...DON'T BUY IT!!! It looks real...and is does look like entama...but the way you described your package may mean it is a fake entama or tamagotchi..but i am not sure...
