Yes, it does effect the evolution massively, I always get mametchis, but once I dieted mine just to cereal and apple, Hikotchi>Decotchi.

I wish I could, but on v3 I always get Mametchi's, or if i don't I get a really ugly character...

I think that Mametchi is very very cute! But my fave is Nyatchi! I also love on v3 Chomametchi, and I think Tsukotchi and Pyonkotchi are very cute to, oh and bunbunitchi!

You can't get Mametchi or Mimitchi that way, you have to have atleast 6 training to get either of these characters, and you can't get trianing if you pause your tamagotchi the whole time or make it sleep.
