Usually feeding it some snacks will make it play. If the tama is at its minimum weight then it won't play.

I usually have it in my pocket but not anymore since the face got sratched by my keys. Not it's kind of hard to see the screen. Oh well, just another reason to buy a new one.

My girlfriend got that guy (with the propeller). He changed from the star-shaped child to that while I was watching tv. I immediately looked at the hungry and happy meter and he had changed with two empty hungry hearts, and two empty happy hearts. Hope that helps.

With the first tamagotchis, I think you just need to set the clock and the egg will hatch in about five minutes. I'll have to get my old one out and see for sure though.
