NO, you don't need a Music STar Tamagotchi to have a featured CD. All you have to do is to click your character on that cellphone thing which contains the menu. When you click your character there, find the words "Your Feature CD" then click settings and choose the CD you want to be feature...

Sometimes, newly bought Tamagotcbi loses its battery in just a few days (A month or so). You might have bought a Tamagotchi like that, try replacing the batteries, but if it didn't, your Tamagotchi is broken and you have to buy a new Tamagotchi again. For the other, its a glitch that I can't...
