I'm new to tamatalk... Ive got a few tamagotchis (all v4s and v3s) and I think tamatalk is awesome its got heaps of info and help. I was searching for tamagotchi sites and thats how I found TT. ;)

yes, there is a v5. I think they should get new versions because then you can get a collection, and also you would get bored always using the same version even though its the latest, you would want to have new stuff in your tamagotchi. ;)

You've probably got the sound off ;) are u sure the sound is always on? if it is its probably a glitch :)

when i bring my tama 2 school, i keep it inside my desk (w the sound off) & i just pull the desk open a little bit so i can c my tamagotchi.

I got my tamagotchi v3 wet when i accidently dropped it into the sink. (woops!)but i couldn't dry it. :D :( i've got a v4 now...
