If I set my debugged Tama V2 to a teen stage, will it still evolve into an adult stage or will it be stuck as a teen til it dies?

Back when I had my Ichigotchi, it would do the most bizarre thing -- it would run up along the screen (from left to right, on my view) then promptly fall on its face. Not while a game, either, it was an animation. Did anyone else get this odd action from an Ichigotchi?

I would really, really like to see a Tamagotchi that is mostly black. Maybe it could have accents in red, or silver, or even gold, but mostly black. It would fit in better with my wardrobe XD
