Yes, it does work, even if the baby is the opposing gender of the adult tama. But, you won't see the toy when the tama and it's baby goes to sleep. (Besides, I think the only item you can use with the baby is the TV.)

I believe when you use the lamp, you're able to keep using it until something happens, or until you get something from it. (Like a fishing pole) So maybe something showed up and you missed it, you have a glitch, or maybe your tama got tired of it and trashed it (lol).....

Well, I have both a pen and a pencil on my V3. When my tama (a mametchi) used them, it had the same effect and my tama did the same thing with the pen, as it would the pencil (and vice versa). Is there something different about them that I'm missing? Or are they just the same?
