Here are some poems that I wrote. Are they any good?

GOSSIP

In every convesation

I dwell on every lip

I tumble out with envy

And in your heart I grip

I tear apart your friendships

And whisper in your dreams

Although I am a craving

I make you want to scream

At first I may seem harmless

Just a senseless little quip

But soon I am a yearning

Into your mind I rip

Even though I'm abstract, see the damage I can do?

For my name is Gossip

And like fire, I consume you

HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST

God saw she was gettng tired

And cure was not to be

So he put his arms around her

And whispered, "Come with me."

With tearfilled eyes we watched her

Suffer and fade away

Although we loved her deeply

We could not make her stay

A golden heart stopped beating

Hard-working hands put to rest

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.

POEM 4 GIRLS

You hate men is what you say

And I understand why you feel that way

All girls dream of fairy tales

But what you've got's

Like a used car salsemen

Trying to coceal what's wrong

Behind the smile and the song

And I'm not saying that boys are not like that

But I think you should know

That some of them will grow

Because all princes start as frogs

And all gentlemen as dogs

Just wait til it's plian to see

What they're growing up to be

Some frogs will still be frogs

Some dogs will still be dogs

Some boys can become men

Just don't kiss them til then

I have a few more, but I can't find my poem book. :kuribotchi: So I will post them when I find my book.

They are quite interesting to read. I like them all. i hope you find your poem book

I am very picky about poems....

But these were very good!

I really liked the first one.

Wow! Thanx! My friends think they are good too. I found my book and here is another:

MY NEW BEST FRIEND

Today I met a great new fried

Who knew me right away

It was funny how she understood

All I had to say

She listened to my problems

She listened to my dreams

We talked about love and life

She'd been there too, it seems

I never once felt judged by her

She knew just how I felt

She seemed to just accept me

And all the problems I'd been dealt

She didn't interupt me

Or need to have her say

She just listened very patiently

And never went away

I wanted her to understand

How much this meant to me

But as I went to hug her

Somthing startled me

I put my arms in front of me

And went to pull her nearer

And realized that my new best friend

was nothing but a mirror

Sorry for all the posting, but I can't edit any of my previous posts. Here is another:

VOICES

She looks in the mirror

And can't really see

The sickening person

She's starting to be

"You're worthless!" they cry

"Ugly and fat!"

These lies fill her head

And devour her fast

"Nobody cares!

You're too fat to be loved!"

But she always forgets

That she's loved from above

He's stronger and louder

Than all other voices

She finally hears Him

And is faced with some choices

The voices she heads

Call her worthless and cheap

Is that all that matters?

Isn't beauty skin deep?

Out of all the voices

That call her near

The Voice of Truth

She chooses to hear...

...Which would you choose?

I know it's not the best, but I wrote it for my friend that is having troubles with school and insecurities. Hopefully this poem will get her off the rode to anorexia.
