A good Question about Babies

If your tama breeds to have babies, are the babies always the same gender and breed or are they totally different? I mostly want to know if it is possible for me to get a male AND a female from one breeding or if I am going to get 2 boy or 2 girls.

It is always random.

It isn't always random because when the matchmaker comes, I can get a boy by pressing A or a girl by pressing B. This is true because it always works for me no matter what.
