About my adult..... can sum1 help with the item?

My tama is an adult at the moment (it is 5 years old v3). I go to my items and I try using the makeup but my adult has a question mark on top of its head..... why is that? I have 3 makeups and I want to use it!......

i had the same problem for a while--you need the mirror in order to use your makeup.
