A whole bunch of people in my class [including me] are very paranoid. Right now I think it's a level 5 [level 6 being a pandemic].

 
Eh, I'm not really that scared. I've experienced quite some situations like these. None of those times anyone I knew or myself have gotten it. My friend texted me today telling me that it came to our town, but I'm still not really that scared. The only way I would get scared is that someone I know got it.

The funny thing about though is that hand sanitizers are sold out just about everywhere. Even the 99 cent store. XD

 
They handed out a letter in school saying The Flu has not reached our state yet so STOP FREAKIN" OUT! xDD

 
My teacher educated us about it. But it is not in Australia yet.

And they use x-ray stuff in Sydney Airport so they can find people with high body temperature.

Ms. C said it was renamed something like F1N1...

If any of you die of it, I shall kill all pigs.

Oh come on, the SwineFlu outbreak is just some little flu that happened to be exxagerated and then it caused this crappy epicdemic. For gods sake people, GET A GRIP.

 
In massachusetts, some people already have it. They're far from where I live. Still, I dont take it that seriously! Just don't go sticking your fingers in your mouth or hugging someone who's sick and you'll be fine.

But I am taking a trip later this year...wonder what will happen!

 
There are quite a few people with swine here in Canada, I can't remember the exact amount but I'm pretty sure that there are 50-some.

They changed the name to 2009 H1N1 because people stopped eating and buying pork because they believed they got it from pigs. It was a virus pigs got that mutated to humans, but you don't get it from eating pig.

 
Mum and myself are very paranoid. And just then I spelt paranoid, pornoid [/offtopic]. But yeah, I'm scared. Thank goodness it's not in Aus yet.

Apparently Egypt killed all it's pigs cuz they were afraid of Swine Flu, even though the Flu hasn't gotten to Egypt yet. Poor piggys, I feel sorry for them.

 
Apparently you can't contract it from eating pork. Phewww.

It's come to Ontario...

the only place I've heard was Toronto, (4 hours from me) and I...just..know I brought it to my city. I even wrote my will!

But I'm not very scared of it. The odds of any of us dying from it are little. Stupid pigs >.<

 
As of now there are 88 confirmed cases in Illinois, and 9 of them are in the town text to mine. FML.

 
I think that there are six suspected cases in Pennsylvania?

The are all on the eastern side of the state right now. I live on the western half.

I keep getting this forward on my text:

You don't catch swine flu from pigs.

It's a genetically modified flu virus that has features simular to those found in flu in piggs
