I don't know if it's a glitch, but my tama (v4) had a baby and when the parent died, they baby had some skill points! I hadn't played any games at all! Is this normal?

Hmm, well, I've heard that the v4.5 will "inherit" skill points from its parents.

If the parents' skill points, were, say, 90/105/27, then the baby's starter skill points will be 9/10/2.

Maybe it's also on the later waves of v4s.

Yes, the parents will give some of the skill points to the child. Kind of like givign the child characteristics.

this has also happened to me.It is very cool, and I think thats what V4tamatown was talking about when it said, the baby will grow up to be the same type of tamagotchi as it's parents.

NO. If you played games with your Tama while it had it's baby, then the baby And parent get skill points.

I think that is just, like dancinkayley said, that the baby might inheirt skill points from it's parent, but, you never know. It might be a glitch because I have never experience this.
