Baby born with skill points?

I had a male Yasaguretchi on v4.5, and when he left his baby girl (she is the second generation) she was left with skill points of 1/2/1, before playing any games! I know it's hardly anything, but I don't remember ever having a baby born with skill points...is this normal?

Think of it as the baby inherting the skills from their parent.

Ah, ok, good to hear that. But is it normal? Because I've never had it happen before.

If the parent has higher skill points, will the baby inherit more?

When i had a V4.5 secert tama, the baby's points were considerably large.... so if your going for secert characters, this is a handy feature.
