I was reading info about the different Tama Connection characters, and it said something about base weight. Does anyone know what base weight is and what its significance is?

Base weight is something that each Tama has. Its the weight that is "Ideal" for that Tamagotchi Type. And will not go lower. You will notice, once your Tama evolves it starts at a higher base weight. (Unless your tama is overweight)

Lets use a baby tama, Its base weight is 5g and will not go any lower.

here are the Base weights for the V1 characters:

If you go to this website https://www.dmag.com.au/games.asp

you can print of the Tamagotchi Care Guide. It gives you the base weight for each Tamagotchi character for Version 1 and Version 2. It also has other great stuff like, what time they wake up and what time they go to sleep as well as the things they like to eat.

I printed a copy of this and have started highlighting the characters I have had on my Tamagotchi version 1 and 2. Lots of fun.

Hope this helps :D
