how long do they normally last

Mine have lasted continuously since mid-September or so, and are still going strong. These batteries normally have a very long life, at least 6 months or so. If your tamagotchi is eating up batteries very quickly (say, a few days or a week), return it to a store for a new one. The new one most likely will not have the problem.

Mine lasted from mid June to October...so about 3 and a half months. Sometimes it depends on what kind of batteries you use but 2 weeks is a ridiculously short time even for the cheap ones.

Mines ran out in a month or so. But i accidendly pressed the reset button, and download, there it was again!!
