Yes. A V4 character can mate with a V3 character of the opposite gender.

You have to select OTHER on both the V3 and the V4 for the connection to succeed.

If you don't, the connection will fail.

I had a different experience, my V4 and my V3 mated when they both were under age 5.

Every tamagotchi is different.

I'm not so sure i don't think so because one of my friends tried to connect with her brothers but it didn't work so just keep connecting if u don't get married until 2 weeks then i would give it a miss.
