Can you only do the dating show twice a day?

I just tried to find a mate for hotteatchi (My little baby) and both times it wasn't someone I wanted so do I have to fast forward a day to do it again?

My hotteatchi ended up marrying the sun form the space family and having a healthy baby Iwatchi Boy
