can't get connect to connect?

I bought two tamagotchi V3's and I can't get them to connect to be playmates. Am I doing something wrong? I have followed what the instructions say, but it goes to "stand by" and then back to my lonely tamagotchi pet... I was expecting something different when I tried to make it visit the other or play a game. Let me know if you come up with anything... or if maybe I got defects and should take them back to the store to exchange them. Thanks in advance.

yes, when it says stand by, you have to press the middle button on both of your tamagotchis again and it will then say connect and then they will connect

I was going to say the same thing tamapal3000 did because the same thing happened to me. There is nothing wrong wit ur tama. HOPE I HELPED !!!!!
