It used to connect my tamagotchis but after i opend the back of my other one and tryed to pt another battery in the other one it all ways said fail.

Are you attempting to connect in bright sunight?that could be the problem..if not try calling the place you bought your tama from and ask for assistance...they may havta give you a new one...

Connection Failures are totally normal.
And the problems? Very easy to fix.
Here are some ways that can interfere with the Connection.
If a problem arises..
The units may be too far apart. Keep close together (7 or 8 inches or less).
Don't use a TV remote in the path of them. It's infrared can cause a failure.
Keep out of direct sunlight, connect inside a building.
Clean off the port at the top, any cloth will work.
Only one of you press the button to initiate.
How connecting works.
This is very simple. After you press B on one of the units on the connection screen, that unit is the benefitter (unless something goes wrong.. see above).
Failure results.
Tamagotchi may initiate in playing a loosing game with itself.
(When compatable) Tamagotchi may initiate mating process and end up with a baby (but the other unit doesn't).
Tamagotchi may put up it's away sign and visit the great beyond and then come back.
I hope that cleared things up a bit.
