Hi the easiest way to check is to go onto the time settings. If it is a connection the month will come before the day- so today ill show up as 6/14. If it is a connexion the date will show up as 14/6. Also (well on mine anyway on V3) the food menu has words with the pictures on a connection, but with a connexion it's just pictures.

The other way is to look on your instructions if you still have them.

Most Connections have "Tamagotchi Connection" printed on the tama toy and most Connexions have just "Tamagotchi". But a lot (both types) just say 'Tamagotchi' now as it's probably cheaper for Bandai to make them all the same on the outside.

But it really doesn't matter what you have - they are 100% compatible.

If you know about debugging, the debugged Connection is basically a Conextion!
