What are Tamagotchi Connexions?

When Tamagotchis that could connect by infrared, first came out, they were called Connexions in Europe and Australia, and Connections in USA and Canada. The differences are very minor, such as the date format. One uses day/month, the other uses month/day. So if you set the date to 10/11 it would be October 11 on one, but November 10 on the other.
