You press the B button(middle button) and still holding it down(on time screen) press the A Button(left button).

You use the A button to make it lighter and the C button to make it darker.

Maybe you have to get used to it?

A =Left

B =Middle

C =Right

Well, I did that and its still too dark. On my v4 that is right next to it it is clear and the pixels that are supposed to be off they are off but on the v5 they show up lightly on it. Its on the lowest contrast setting. . .

I will post a picture.

v4 Its looks fine when being used. WHn in use and when tilted or moved it stays like this and the BG inactive pixels are either off or very lightly on and its hard to notice unless staring really close to it.

v5 You can notice there is a light green BG, since those are the pixels. When ever I tilt or move the Tamagotchi it self it gets better or worse. Its really hard to focus. . . it bothers my eyes.

I would like the v5 even more if this wasn't there.

I posted about this issue right after I bought my V5 in Jan. For some reason on the V5 and V5 Celebrity the pixels are dark and show up on the screen (as opposed to the V1-V4.5 pixels that are "clear"). The contrast doesn't do much to help the problem, so it's something you'll just have to get used to. All V5s are like that I presume.

I find that very annoying too. The contrast bar thing doesn't really help at all. I don't see why Bandai did this. What was wrong with the other versions pixels?
