On my V4, my tamagotchi went to pick a job, and got three Xs for eveyone of them!

Will my tamagotchi get another chance to pick a job?

yes dont worry he will get called again to get a job no worries.

yes your tamagotchi can try for another job tomorrow or possibly today. but in the meantime, i suggest getting your tama's stats higher. it has a much better chance of getting a job if the stats are higher.
