Death in sleep

I always kept my 2 Tamagotchi ONs near me when I go to bed. They had full hunger, full happiness full everything, but in the middle if the night, one tamagotchi made the beep it usually makes when it's sick. I turned it on and it showed a graveyard on the screen and I was very scared at that moment.

Any theories how this might have happened ?

How old were they? They could've died of old age.

I never checked how old they were or if the time was correct but I don't think it was that old

Oh no! That must be a horrible feeling! Perhaps it was old age or the Grim Gotchi?

It had never gotten sick or made the beep that it made all day then at night it randomly died.

I usually put the time 1 minute faster than the real time.
