do keitai tamagotchis die of old age?

I didn't marry off my keitai tamagotchi and now they're old and the matchmaker doesn't come,,, how long do I have to care for them? I'm kinda tempted to start a new generation

do they still live as long as I take good care of them? or is there a age that they reach and they automatically die?

They will automatically die but not sure how long it will take

Nearly every Tamagotchi releases since Connection V1 won't die or run away of old age.

I raised my Uratama for 28 days and the matchmaker still came several times a day...on the 28th day I overslept and that was it for good old Otokitchi.

I say go for the new generation!
