Let's see...

1. Except for Mame family, you get a character that is only available then!

2. No children (Except Chibipatchi???)

3. You can skip to third generation in only about 49 hours

Disadvantages

1. No children

2. No options, just the main adult and their bro or sis.

3. It's a startling idea and many people think it's a glitch.

Personally, I prefer Smart, Cheerful, and Easygoing to Mame, Meme, Kuchipa, and Violet. (I am working on getting a Violet family, though)
