Well, I thought I'd let you guys read my trippy poem and tell me what you think. It's supposed to weird and trippy, so keep that in mind.
Earth Battles the Pink Robots.
Hurdling through space on a giant rock
Falling in time to the rhyme of a clock.
Ahead their destination they see and smile
That melancholy rock where they’re always riled.
A brand-new planet to overpower and rule
To spread their reign of terror, so icy cool.
Invading the blue sphere to rule like kings
Falling all in like light pink rings…
Circle, circle, square and square
Falling from the midnight air.
Pink robots coming to invade
As the night begins to fade.
Don’t bother to run and don’t bother to hide
They catch up in robot stride.
Circle, circle, square and square
To fight them off, who will dare?
Winter wind blows through the trees
Bringing people to their knees.
Church bells in the distance sound
Calling angels to the ground.
Like bees in spring they plan and coordinate
Finding the best way to control and dominate.
Pink flamingos flapping their wings
What tales of destruction their flapping brings…
Circle, circle, square and square
Hiding in the robot’s lair.
Pink robots take over Earth
Just in time for a new morning’s birth.
Don’t bother to shout and don’t bother to scream
Robots are everywhere like a pink fuzzy dream.
Circle, circle, square and square
Just how well will they fare?
A flash of brass in the tall land grass
A heavy mass, loud and crass.
An army group sent to take out robots
But just how, of that they know not.
Cracks of thunder, the sound of a gun
Bullets ricochet off and into the sun.
Angry robots stomp and moan
As sore people below grunt and groan…
Circle, circle, square and square
Dragging people by the hair.
Invincible robots stomp about
As people below scream and shout.
Don’t bother to figure and don’t bother to reason
With angry pink robots in the time of their season.
Circle, circle, square and square
To take on the one, do they dare?
Seeking refuge in a run-down village
Watching the others plunder and pillage.
Yoshi hides from the pink robot scare
Knowing she can beat them if she dare.
Robots are hypnotized by the sound of her song
Like addicts flock to a newly lit bong.
Yoshi musters the courage to sing
And let her voice across the whole world ring…
Circle, circle, square and square
Pink robots in a giant rock’s care.
Robots in an ignorance that is bliss
Unaware that their power is about to slip.
Don’t bother to warn them, don’t bother to try
Stupid robots joyous on the day they’re to die.
Circle, circle, square and square
To hear Yoshi’s song, can they bear?
Approaching a cluster of robots giant and pink
Yoshi barely has enough time to think.
They stop and stare as her knees begin to sink
“Leave my planet at once! Leave or I’ll sing!”
They stare then laugh: “Ha! What a bold scenario you cast!
“You have not but a reflection of a face in finely polished glass!”
Yoshi takes a breath, takes it in and holds it deep
Then bellows a song proud and long making the world weep.
Circles and squares falling apart
Leaving nothing but a palpitating heart.
For the space rock by which they came they make a mad dash
Leaving behind the planet where they left their red rash.
Forever they’ll feel that planet biting through and screaming
As it spins happily in orbit, in sunlight gleaming.
Pink robots falling once again through time
Keeping an ethereal style of ancient rhyme.
