Easiest thing to do yet I'm having trouble naming

I know this is like, the easiest thing to do on a Tama, but I'm having trouble naming my TamaGo!

So, I set the time, etc. and get the egg to hatch, it says the gender, but I can't change the name then. Thinking I could name it once it grew, only to realize I was wrong.

How do I name a TamaGo? OTL

You can't name a Tama-Go, unfortunately. There is a screen in the very beginning where you can input the user name (meaning like the Tamagotchi's owner's name), which you can't change unless you're willing to reset your Tama-Go. As far as actually naming your character though, there isn't a function for that. You can always just give it a name anyway.
