Alright, so I have been noticing a lot of people around saying that they don't own a good Anti-Virus program and they get a virus on their computer that they don't know how to remove. So I'm going to help out.

First off, the programs;

Malwarebytes; https://malwarebytes.org/

This program doesn't just rid of Malware, it gets rid of Viruses as well! [Once I ran it on my moms labtop because my brother infected it thanks to Limewire. It picked up like 10 Trojan horses.] And works great!

Spybot - Search & Destroy

https://download.cnet.com/Spybot-Search-amp...4-10122137.html Now I've heard good reviews about this one. Used it myself, it seems to be worth it, and it's free nontheless.

AVG Free

https://free.avg.com/ This one is also alright. Getting alright reviews, though my friend said that it didn't pick up on some viruses he had when he ran with Spybot.

Those are the top three I would recommend.

CCleaner; https://www.ccleaner.com/

This isn't a AntiVirus program, but cleans up your computer. Removing unwanted and unneeded data. Excess info. that isn't needed and takes up space on your hard drive. Great tool.

Now, if you go on a serious forum for a computer problem, chances are they're going to ask you run install and run a program called 'HiJack this' which is a program that runs scans and in the final result gives you a scan log, most likely pointing out the problem so you don't have to scratch your eyes out trying to reformat or something.

Just trying to help.

Haha!

Well. I'm glad it works for you.

I've experimented with several anti-virus programs on my PC and I really just don't like them at all. I have 3489253857 viruses on my comptuer? Please. Control your thoughts, malfunctioninganti-virusprogram.

On my macs? None whatsoever. I've found no need to have one on a mac, at any time. But I usually keep my internet surfing to a bare minimum -_- I've had no problems with a virus or anything of the sort on my Macs.

I highly suggest this one. It got rid of all my Trojans and Spyware.

I highly suggest Norton 360. If you have Windows Vista, there is a little sidebar that tells you your computer status as soon as you log on. Even on Google, it marks which websites willl be safe for your computer, 8D

McAfee is alright, my mom uses it on her labtop. [We used to have it on here thanks to Comcast] Though it only picks up the smaller viruses, it sometimes caught the more advanced/newer viruses. Rarely though, though Malware bytes caught those for me.

And as for Norton 360, it works great. Though it didn't pick up on like, 10 problems Malware Bytes picked up on.

Norton has alot of problems. It crashed my sister's computer and it didn't detech any viruses it said that system32 was damaged/corrupted. I have CCleaner,Malaware bytes anti-malaware and ESET NOD32 AntiVirus and they all work fine. Also never trust LimeWire that is one the number one reason why people get viruses. Another way to check how much memory on your computer is to go to All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmentation and check the space and go to Control Panel and Network and Internet Connections,

Internet Options and then Browsing History and the Delete... Be careful what kind of things you delete such as login information and history of all visited sites.

As long as you know what you're downloading on Limewire you should be fine. You should check the filename, and how big it is in KB, then look at the file extension. That's what I do.

Spybot is the best. 8D

I have NOD32 on my computer. I love it. It works great.

I use Avast and love it.

Spybot seemed to put more viruses on and not show their own, then I couldn't uninstall/delete it.

I had McAfee, but got two viruses that completely annihilated it. Ended up having to reformat everything.

Norton just flat out annoys me.
