How many times do you need to connect with another Tamagotchi to get married?

The # of times, I'm pretty sure, is 50.

Do they have to be a boy and a girl to get married?

the tama has to marry the opisite gender than your fine. instead of conecting who knows how many times you can go to tamagatchi codes and find all seven shop codes. find the shop code that is honey, pick what tama to marry and the first time you link they will get married and have twins. if you don't know what shop codes are than ask kand i will respond

A few things you need to do/have:

1. Your tamagotchis both need to be adults of 6 or above.

2. Your tamagotchis need to be of opposite gender.

3. You need a lot of spare time, connecting takes a while.

4. V2 and above can use love potion which reduces the need to connect.

The girl is 4 years old and the boy is five years old, and they are both adults. We have tried connecting them more than 50 times and they still won't marry. What else could we do???

When you are connecting during that age period,

In the friends list that tama that you are attempting to mate with will have up to 4 smiley faces under his/her name.

Eventually those 4 smiley faces will become 4 hearts and in doing so you will be married.

One of the Tamagotchi's just became an adult today, so maybe that is why it doesn't work.

They have to be atleast six years old, adults, and they have to be tamas of the opposite gender.
